My creative background includes involvement in galleries, public art and artisan events.
Gouache

Spring Jackalopes
My work in paper folk art translated into various forms, but a significant transition was ignited after taking a seamless pattern design course. Since then, my misfit art became my entire focus. Now, my art blends cultural and botanical motifs across surfaces from wall art to home goods. And they tend to start as paintings, like this artwork that was showcased in the Misfits gallery show at the Center for Arts in Grass Valley, CA.
Block Print

High West Wildflowers
This block print intertwines Calochortus Lilies and seeks to inspire a thoughtful moment in preserving the scarce flora. Its significance as an environmental gem and a centerpiece in the narratives of intertribal traditions and cuisine across the American West is an enduring piece of history to hold onto.
I love sharing my explorations and process on social media. Follow me to see what’s new.
Public Art

The Confluence of Resiliency
Design commissioned for a laser-cut panel installed on a bridge at Three Creeks Confluence Park in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Collections

La Abeja in Lavender
A folk art piece commissioned for The New Beehive exhibition in 2021 and acquired by the State of Utah Alice Merrill Horne Art Collection.

From Paint to Pattern
Surface pattern design is how I take my paintings into a world of artful living.
