Science, tech, engineering, and math are industries with low representation in diversity and in some cases the numbers of students and professionals in those disciplines are decreasing. I was determined to use the museum’s platform as a community hub, to further highlight diverse leadership through blogs and social media strategies of conversation. I leveraged #LGBTQSTEMDAY, Black History Month, and Women’s History Month to showcase those leaders and share local resources for education, community involvement and more.
